    MOLINE, Illinois (February 4, 2014) — With John Deere's 903K and 909K tracked feller bunchers new long boom option, more trees can be harvested with less travel.  The new long boom delivers increased productivity by stretching maximum reach to more than 32 feet (9.82m), a 10.6 percent increase over the standard boom, when used with John Deere's field proven FR21B Disc Saw Felling Head. Designed to maximize productivity, the new long boom also provides a best in class cutting swath of 17' (5.18m) to handle more trees from one location.

    MOLINE, Illinois (December 10, 2013)John Deere is committed to providing customers with improvements that make both the machine and operator more efficient, and one way is by improving fuel economy on Forestry Swing Machine with an updated pump/management system and fuel economy kit for existing models. When operating in high-power mode, these upgraded machines showed a marked improvement in fuel economy without loss in productivity, which translates to gains for the logger's bottom line.

    MOLINE, Illinois (October 17, 2013) — In a milestone for forestry equipment technology, John Deere introduced its Intelligent Boom Control (IBC) option for its forwarders at Elmia Wood in Sweden on June 5-8, 2013. A feature the industry has anticipated for over 30 years, IBC is now offered as an option on all of John Deere's 1210E and 1510E Forwarders in North America. This technological breakthrough significantly increases forwarder productivity and efficiency, while providing best possible fuel economy and boom lifetime.

    MOLINE, Illinois (October 15, 2013) — To help support the use of John Deere equipment around the world, the Construction & Forestry Division is bringing to market a retrofit kit that will enable John Deere Interim Tier 4 (IT4) machines to be sold in countries where ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) fuel is not available. ULSD is diesel fuel with 15 parts per million or lower sulfur content.

    MOLINE, Illinois (April 30, 2013) — Some of John Deere's most powerful machines, the 900K-Series tracked feller bunchers and 900KH-Series tracked harvesters, are now equipped to take on even more of the forest with the introduction of an updated boom structure and cooling system for all models. Also, the Rapid Cycle System (RCS) is now standard on the 900K-Series tracked feller bunchers, making boom operation faster and simpler.
