In 2013 John Deere celebrates its 50th anniversary as a lawn equipment manufacturer. With the production of its first lawn tractor, the model 110, in Horicon, Wisconsin, US, John Deere successfully entered this new market in 1963. Since then, the product range has grown steadily, and now offers a comprehensive choice of domestic lawn and professional turf equipment for homeowners, commercial customers, groundsmen and greenkeepers.
At the 2013 SIMA Show (25th-28th February), John Deere launched a new model in the R900i Series of trailed sprayers. The R952i sprayer with 5,200 litre tank is packed with intelligent solutions to support arable farmers and contractors in the entire crop protection process from filling to spraying.
Following a gold medal won by the 900 Series round baler at the SIMA 2011 show, John Deere has now been awarded gold and silver for two of the company’s latest innovations. Both will be on display on the John Deere stand at SIMA 2013 in Paris next February.

According to the latest Interbrand ranking, John Deere's assessed brand value stands at US$ 4.221 billion, a 16 percent increase compared to last year.
According to research conducted by Eichberg Consulting, a market strategy consultant for the agribusiness and trade shows, John Deere leads the list of Europe’s most innovative agricultural equipment manufacturers.
