MOLINE, Illinois (February 26, 2014) - Deere & Company (NYSE: DE) announced today that it has reached a definitive agreement to sell its irrigation operations to FIMI Opportunity Funds, the leading private equity firm in Israel.
Two John Deere innovations have been awarded silver medals at Agritechnica, the world’s leading agricultural equipment trade fair being held in Hanover, Germany, from November 12th to 16th.
Following their European launch in Germany this summer, all John Deere’s new and updated products for 2014 were on display at this year’s Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover (12th–16th November 2013).
Launched two years ago, John Deere FarmSight consists of three key elements: John Deere machinery, intelligent AMS precision farming technology and innovative dealer services. Delivered through the dealer network, John Deere FarmSight Services can produce tangible results and provide customer value by increasing machine uptime and reducing operating costs.
John Deere’s new 7R Series tractors for 2014 feature more powerful engines and a new top of the range model. The new line-up will consist of six models delivering 210, 230, 250, 270, 290 and 310hp at rated engine speed. The flagship 7310R will be available in limited numbers from spring 2014 and will feature a new Stage IV compliant engine, while all the other 7R Series tractors will be powered by John Deere’s proven diesel-only technology.
With its new line of 400 Series balers, John Deere now offers a complete solution for small and medium livestock farms, large farms and contractors.
John Deere 5G Series tractors for 2014 feature new Stage III B engines on selected models and a brand new low-profile 5GL model.
