    John Deere has struck a new fleet deal with Thorpe Park Resort, the Surrey-based theme park famous for its signature rollercoasters such as Stealth – the nation’s tallest and fastest launch rollercoaster, which accelerates from 0 to 80mph in 2.3 seconds. This season also sees the launch of the theme park’s most exciting attraction to date, Derren Brown’s Ghost Train.

    John Deere’s long serving eastern counties dealership Ben Burgess & Co Ltd will be taking over the trading area currently managed by A J & R Scambler & Sons Ltd of Bourn in Cambridgeshire, with effect from 1st November 2016. After nearly 25 years as a John Deere dealership, Scamblers will be looking to continue working with other manufacturers in the grounds care market.

    A 78-year old Staffordshire man achieved one of his life’s ambitions when he took two John Deere tractors, spanning 50 years of production, for a spin at the company’s UK headquarters in Langar, Nottingham last month.

    Jonathan Henry has been appointed the new managing director of John Deere Limited in the UK and Ireland. He takes over the role on 1 July 2016 from Antony Scott, who has elected to retire after 40 years of distinguished service with the company.
